Africa
Africa is a very diverse place. From the northern deserts (including
the Sahara, the largest desert in the world), to the central west African
rain forests. Perhaps the most well-known to many people are the great
east African grasslands, which is home to some of the most spectacular
remaining large mammal populations - including such animals as giraffe,
elephant, zebra, hartebeest, wildebeest, black rhinoceros, etc.
Africa is the sole area in the Ethiopian biogeographic region.
