American Goldfinch

The American Goldfinch is an common bird at bird feeders across much of North America. They prefer nyjer or "thistle" seed, and readily come to such feeders.

The males are bright yellow and black during the breeding season. The females are more greenish, and look a lot like Pine Siskins.
