Bob's Birding Adventures

Trip List
January 2002

January 16th - Redwood Regional Park, Oakland, Alameda County, California

I took the Dunn trail from the Skyline Blvd. headquarters, and birded from about 10am to noon.

As with some other EB Regional Parks there were just too many off-lead dogs for my taste. The area looks like it might be better early in the morning before the dogwalkers get there. It's mixed sagebrush, grassland and forest - including some Coast Redwoods.

To get there, take the Redwood Rd. exit from Hwy 13 in Oakland, go up the hill to keeping right to Skyline Blvd and pull into the parking lot (on the left).
