Bob's Birding Adventures

Trip List
January 2002

January 13th - Martin Luther King, Jr. Regional Shoreline (Arrowhead Marsh), Alameda County, California

This area near the Oakland International Airport is a pleasant park with easy paved access, picnic tables and restrooms near the entrance.

Arrowhead Marsh is a literaly arrowhead shaped area that sticks northward from the south end of the park. During high tide it is all but completely submerged and rails are fairly easy to see near the boardwalk as they struggle to stay out of the water on the few clumps of plant still above water.
